This extract from Stephen Burkinshaw’s book (Physio-chemical Aspects of Textile Coloration), Chapter 6,  provides supporting reading around the topic of dye diffusion models.

This  paper.  JSDC , 1973, 11, pp 397-405, Peters, R.H and Ingamells, W. provides interesting reading and supporting information for this topic. The paper is entitled, “Theoretical Aspects of the Role of Fibre Structure in Dyeing”.

This review paper from JSDC, 22, 1992 (pp 65-78) by PR Brady provides an interesting look at the application of Fick’s Laws when applied to diffusion of dyes in natural fibres. The first part of this review is included in the previous topic (4.2.2 Fick’s Laws of Diffusion).
