Sue Bolton, SDC Immediate Past President and leading Textile Consultant
Sue Bolton is known to many as SDC Immediate Past President, Honorary Secretary 2013-2018 and chair of the SDC’s Technical Coordination Committee from 2004-2013. She is owner/director of Bolton Consultancy Ltd, an independent textile consultancy. Prior to this she was Product Quality, Safety and Legal Compliance Manager for general merchandise at Marks and Spencer. Throughout her career she has been an active member of various BSI Technical Committees for textiles. Sue currently Chairs TCI 82, the BSI Technical Committee for Textile Care Labelling and Cleansing, TCI 82, is UK expert to the International Standards Organisation Mirror Group, and past chairman ( 2011-2017) of the ISO Technical Committee for colour fastness of textiles.
Course Covers:
- understanding the meaning of each of the textile care symbols
- knowing which are the current set of symbols
- An appreciation of how colour fastness can influence choice of care symbols
