Speaker; Duncan Ross – Commercial Director AVA CAD CAM Group
After graduating from the Universities of Wolverhampton and the Fachhochschule Reutlingen in 1993, Duncan began his career in the “then” vibrant wallpaper and heat transfer industries. A 4-year stint with the Borden Decorative Group provided experience of engraving, reproduction and wallpaper & transfer paper printing processes. A call for linguists from AVA CAD CAM in 1998, progressed his career in the textile and decoration industry and utilised his fluency in German. AVA CAD CAM services a worldwide customer base, across textiles, flooring, laminate furniture, ceramics and wallcoverings. All these industries utilise CAD CAM with both analogue and digital printing processes and have common challenges and objectives. AVA’s current hot project is integrated colour management through the global (and local) supply chain which regularly takes the AVA team troubleshooting all over the world.
